One Bedroom Suite Poolview
Offer a separate living area to the king bedroom along with private balcony or patio complete with day bed overlooking the pool area. The one bedroom suites have designer finishes including LCD TV/DVD player, all rooms have a microwave and fridge, basic kitchenette facilities and stylish bathrooms with granite bench tops. Sofa Bed available for 3rd adult (fees apply). Up to 2Ad/2 Children - Second child stays FREE.
Two Bedroom Suite
Newly renovated two bedroom suites are a combination of a One Bedroom Suite and a Luxury Studio Room, offering 2 bathrooms and with designer finishes including LCD TV/DVD player, all rooms have a microwave and fridge, and basic kitchenette facilities. Sofa Bed available for 5th adult (fees apply).
The one and two bedroom suites sleep from two to five guests and some are equipped with kitchenettes. Spacious studio style rooms accommodate up to two guests and feature private balconies and the spa suites include separate private spas.
Disabled Access Accommodation
A Luxury Poolview Studio with King or Twin bedding has been designed with disabled facilities along with a separate annexe area offering an additonal Double bed. This wheelchair accessible room features kitchenette facilities with microwave and small fridge. The bathroom offers grab rails and a shower chair can be arranged on request (additional fees apply). Access to the apartment is via elevator and ramp from Palm Cove Esplanade. Pool area is only accessible via stairs.

absolutely very good. thanks you. minor critisism. room 301. ironing board broken. shower tap thingy not good. needs a light over vanity for wifes makeup....not mine!!. AIR CONDITIONING very good for us southerners not used to the humidity. Thanks for cleaning the BBQ one day for use and apologies for not cleaning after use....i forgot.

Yes again we had a great time. We found this apartment very nice indeed and the room we were in had a lovely outdoor area near the pool. Only disappointing thing was that our room was not ready until 2.30pm.

Anyone requiring kitchen/cooking facilities should mention it when booking as we do have suites (not beach front though) set up with hotplates as well as the microwave.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Cairns itself, although, while our room was clean and tidy, we were very disappointed when, on our arrival, we were informed that the room we had been allocated had two single beds and not a queen size bed. Prior to our stay, I had requested a FIRM mattress, which was confirmed by you in two emails; one on our inital request and the other when confirmation of same was requested prior to our stay at Paradise on the beach.
The lady at reception said that you had requested two single beds and not a firm mattress; the result being, Paradise on the Beach staff simply zipped up the single beds and remarked that all the mattresses in the suites were the same - NOT FIRM. Hence, for thelength of our stay,I did not have one good nights sleep and felt a little frustrated.
Also, my husband and I found the staff at Paradise Beach reception to be very unfriendly - they were not at all interested in us at all (not that we expected them to fall all over us), and we were also not allowed to borrow a toaster for our room as it could possibly set off the smoke alarms ...we have never heard of such a thing, and there has been a toaster supplied at every other place we have ever stayed at!)

We at Paradise on the Beach Resort place the highest regard to guest comfort and safety.
With regard to the beds, we regard our beds as FIRM, they were replaced in 2008. We informed your agent of the refurbishment date and asked if you would prefer single beds – 23.08.10.
Your agents response was yes - single beds please (we assumed that you had been asked your preference in this). The bed was corrected from singles to KING before you went to your room. Both day and evening receptionists asked if the bed was firm enough, if everything was OK, and were told that it was. Had we been informed that the bed was not hard enough or that you were not satisfied we could have found a solution.
With regard to the toaster - we do not place them in the rooms without first talking to our guests and explaining the situation to them. We place the highest value upon guest safety and have a fervent hope that should we ever need the attention of the Fire & Rescue Service for a real fire incident, that the equipment and manpower will be available to attend, not involved with a false alarm callout elsewhere. In that regard we fully support the current fine of $950 levied upon owners of properties generating a false alarm. The Childers fire has changed many safety regulations and property directives.
At Paradise on the Beach Resort extreme care is needed in toaster use as the smoke detectors are directly over the kitchen bench. Toaster smoke is the most prolific cause of false alarm callouts among holiday properties.
Unfriendly staff, well this is a bit daunting. We try to be smiling, cheerful and helpful at all times; obviously we did not succeed here and do apologise. We are always ready for a chat about guests holidays ( or things in general), to advise on outings not to be missed or restaurants to try, but many years working a reception desk has proved that some find enquiries invasive, and dislike being accosted with repetitive comments each time they walk past.

Paradise on the Beach was just wonderful. Margaret, at the front desk, was friendly & went out of her way to direct us to restaurants, & we are friends for life. Whenever I hear people interested in traveling to North Queensland I recommend our hotel. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

An ideal place to stay if mobility is a problem. There is a lift to the first floor where you have easy access to the pool and barbecue area. We were there at Easter and still felt very private. The rooms are serviced daily by very hard working and friendly cleaners who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The price we got from Cairns Holiday Specialists was by far the cheapest on the net, especially considering it was Easter. Would recommend both this booking service and resort
