Palm Cove Seasons follow this manner:

Tropical Summer: January to March

Tropical Summers in Palm Cove, or the Green Season as they're often called are marked with hot sunny days and wet and warm nights. Although many people get scared off because of the high amount of rainfall during these months they fail to realize that the majority of the rain falls during the night or in late afternoon thunderstorms.

The tropical weather patterns of Palm Cove and Tropical North Queensland are identical to those experienced by our well known Pacific and northern neighbours in Fiji, Thailand, Singapore, Bali, Maldives and others. This being the case there should not be any fear of a rain drenched holiday at all.

After a hot sunny day at the beach or out on the Great Barrier Reef, it is often a magnificent experience to watch these powerful storms form and the downpour associated with them is often a relief, leaving the next morning sunny and sparkling from the nourishment and hydration that the rainfall produced.

Tropical Autumn: April to June

Tropical Autumn in Palm Cove is similar to tropical summer as it is green and vibrant although the temperature dips slightly. Hot clear days are followed by wet stormy nights leaving the earth re-nourished and fertile.

Many of the farms harvest their crops at this time. The water temperatures are quite warm during tropical autumn months and the underwater visibility on the Great Barrier Reef is great.

Tropical Winter: July to September

There are not too many places in the world where you can sit comfortably in a swimsuit on the beach in the middle of winter. Palm Cove's tropical winter is warm, dry and pleasant. The daytime temperature is comfortable for any outdoor Activities be it a game of golf, horseback riding or rainforest treks.

The tropical winter nights can sometimes get cold enough for you to require a light jacket. Tropical Winters are generally very busy in Palm Cove since much of the southern states of Australia are battling cold, rainy and windy conditions and they flock to Tropical North Queensalnd for some reprieve.

Tropical Spring: September to November

Tropical Spring is a glorious time to visit Palm Cove. The temperatures begin creeping up yet there is hardly any rainfall. Flowers begin to blossom and animals begin to reproduce filling the streets of Palm Cove with vibrant colors and the playful chatter of new life.

The temperature during the day and night are relatively unchanged and the water temperature is perfect for a comfortable swim, snorkel or scuba-dive on the Great Barrier Reef.
