Palm Cove Weddings

Palm Cove Wedding Destination

Once you discover Palm Cove you are under its spell forever. It just has that laid back charming village like feel where you feel relaxed, safe and at ease.

Palm Cove is not known as famously like Port Douglas which is another charming thing about this little beachfront mecca as it is never overcrowded or bustling with all the noisy going on’s of loud music and busy traffic.

The local council got it right with the plan to build resort accommodation in Palm Cove when they decided there were to be no buildings on the beachfront higher than 3 stories and the shops and restaurants are to be the same.

They also retained the 200+ year old Melaleuca trees within the foot prints of the hotels and resorts and made the developers build the accommodation and shops around them.

The beaches are lined with swaying Palm Trees and the esplanade is full of lush greenery and parks which are just perfect for those wedding photo shoots.

From your esplanade resort you look out across the beach to some Great Barrier Reef islands called Double Island and Scout Hat Island which instantly makes you realise you are in a tropical paradise.

Palm Cove is very popular for beach weddings due to not only the breath taking scenery but also the fantastic tropical weather that North Queensland offers.

We even have some brides and grooms arriving to Palm Cove by helicopter and landing right on the beach in front of the gorgeous white chapel at the Alamanda Resort which makes for quite an entrance!

With the cobble stone paved esplanade it is easy for a horse drawn carriage to parade the couple down the beachfront and past all of the resorts and restaurants and deliver you to your chosen wedding spot on the beach. The esplanade is of course perfect for hot rod cars, hummers, Harley Davidson’s and stretch limousines as there is a nice turn around area just north of the village at the Palm Cove Jetty.

For your wedding ceremony you can chose to have it in the chapel on the beach or you can ask your celebrant to get a permit for you to be married in a particular spot on the beach at a particular time guaranteeing that there will not be another bride getting married there at the same time (awkward).

You may also not be so keen on such a public display and wish to conduct your wedding ceremony within the confines of your Palm Cove Resort which is perfectly fine as they have some lovely function space that looks beautiful when dressed for a wedding.

Similarly the restaurants in Palm Cove are very experienced at catering for weddings as couples come here all year round to tie the knot and they love the idea of an outdoor open air restaurant for the celebrations.

Couples have no problem with finding and choosing their wedding vendors as we have put together a local directory to assist them inside our website www.registeryourwedding.com.au . We put this together as we had so many couples asking our holiday reservations team for help and advice on where to find the wedding vendors and if we can assist with wedding accommodation.

So far the number of thank you’s we have received from our couples tells us we have been instrumental in assisting with multiple stress free weddings in Palm Cove because of our little wedding directory.

If couples come to us for advice about where to get married and which hotels and resorts they should make room blocks we talk to them and get to know them and start the planning from there.

With wedding group accommodation bookings we give you discounted rates for the block booking in all the Palm Cove hotels, resorts, holiday apartments and holiday homes and villas which saves you the couple from having to worry about where everyone is going to stay and worrying if can they afford it.

Similarly to the accommodation our team arranges pre-post wedding tours and activities like a private sunset sail, a trip to an island or the outer Barrier Reef, and afternoon of ATV Quad Biking or white water rafting. Your guests have travelled a long way to attend your wedding so no doubt they would like to get out and about to see and enjoy some of the local tours and attractions. And just like the accommodation we can provide you with discounted group rates on tours also.

Take a peek here at one of our favourite adults only sunset sailing tours  that is perfect for a wedding group.

If you have read all of the above hopefully it has put your mind at ease about your wedding planning ideas in Palm Cove.

When you need assistance we are just a phone call away and you can talk to our wedding planning team to pull it all together for you so you can get on with the excitement of being engaged.
