Well - to prove how good it was, here's another review :)

Love this place so much that I keep coming back. Still a fantastic resort. So clean and the gardens are kept immaculate - still! Must have some keen gardeners working away.

Stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment again - so scroll down and read what I said there. Same thing applies.

Price is really good too - great value for coin.

This time I went up in June - just when Ironman was on. Even with the resort sold out for the night (I think it was close to anyway) - I didn't hear BOO from nobody.

No negatives on this one :)

We are glad you enjoyed your stay!

The resort was lovely but for the same reason below was very disappointed , and also had a problem with the air conditioning in the family room , they said they had come in to fix but it wasn't fixed until they day before we left, very disappointing.

We were disappointed with the fact we had booked our holiday many weeks ago and requested a ground floor apartment. I rang a few days beforehand to make sure we had a ground floor but it couldn't be confirmed if we had a ground floor or not.

If we booked so far ahead shouldn't we be allocated a room then , first in best served is usually the motto, disappointed when we arrived the girl at reception (who was lovely) had a allocated us a room tucked right around the back of the resort with no view , we asked for a pool view and miraculously all of a sudden there was a room available overlooking the pool, my question to you is why weren't were we allocated that room when we first booked.

My thoughts are that you see what other bookings come in after the original booking to see if you look after other clients first.

What is the reason you or the Mantra couldn't let us know a few days before what room we had allocated.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent experience at Mantra Amphora. We always appreciate constructive comments which help us to maintain and improve our standards, as well as meet and exceed guest expectations.
It is very disappointing to read that your stay somewhat failed to meet both your expectations of the Resort and our goal of achieving a level of excellence in accommodation and service.

Whilst we endeavor to fulfill as many requests as possible it is regrettable that we are not in a position to guarantee those. It is due to many possible unforeseen circumstances that we are unable to guarantee requests for specific apartment locations, but the staff is continuously working hard to meet as many as possible for every individual booking. When looking at allocations and the guests specific requests we do utilize apartments that we think will best suit the individual needs. In your case we received notification that a ground floor is requested due to a medical condition so an apartment closest to reception, without any elevation or stairs was allocated. I can guarantee you that there was no other motive for the selection of this specific apartment and I am sorry to read that you have not been satisfied with its location upon arrival. I am glad to read that the alternative unit offered was satisfactory.

Regrettably we are not in a position to communicate room allocations prior to anyone's arrival. Many aspects of running a resort will and have an influence on very short notice. Guest extensions, Maintenance issues, Owner usage and Housekeeping issues to just name a few and due to those reasons I have yet to come across a Hotel/Resort that will advise specific room allocations prior to arrival. As mentioned I am glad that you were able to occupy a ground floor apartment during your stay and apologize that the Air-conditioning Contractor could not get it fully functional any earlier.

I would like to offer my sincerest apologies.

The Mantra was fantastic. Rooms were spacious. Our room and other rooms booked by our family and friends were all facing the pool. We were there for a family wedding and all agreed best choice for accommodation. We quite often met at the bar/restaurant at the front. for happy hour or a meal. Right opposite the beach and good location to shops, cafes and restaurants.

Just beautiful. Very well appointed and comfortable, with a huge lagoon style pool right outside your back door. Swimming in the beautifully lit pool at night was divine. Great restaurants close by, beach just across the road. Not for the budget-conscious, but very nice.

The staff were helpful,the rooms are a little dated but fine to stay in. Could do with a few more electrical points in useful places though- like one in the kitchen spot got the jug and a deeper sink to get water into the jug.

Resort was fantastic. Pool and outdoor space was perfect for a family. Our room was wonderful. Plenty of room for our family and had all the conveniences we needed. View was sensational. Central location was great. Having been to other resorts in the area that cost a lot more I would definitely choose mantra again. Great value for money and very family friendly.

This resort is fantastic !! Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here. Only suggestion I could make is for it to have BBQ and laundry facilities. I think some of the apartments do have laundry facilities but not all. The room we stayed in was beautiful.

We loved the Mantra as always, but our room had air co issues which I reported to reception upon departure. Basically they would run all day but cut off at night around midnight. They would hardly work anyway, being only just cooler than ambient air temp even when put on 19 degrees. But it was just enough to stay comfortable at night, until they switched off and you woke up from the heat. There was no timer setting active, and they would restart, but switch off again about an hour later. This was a problem as the unit has no insect screens that would otherwise allow for open windows and the main bedroom window is prevented from opening.

stayed here a couple of years back had a great time, this time was still good however the appartment we stayed in was showing serious sighed of wear and for the same price as a corporate rate at the westin Sydney one would expect better. bedroon carpet is so lifless the nails catch on your feet at the entry to the bedroom. stains on curtains rust cloths maiden , ironing board has big hold in it, scissors broken. shower area patched up. just general feedback. regards tim wild

OK we arrived and had a terrible smell in the apartment the receptonist was very nice and provided air freshioner however there was no follow up. althought the apartment was nice I think the cleaniness could have been better Over all the facilities were good.

Amazing pool area. Apartment very clean and comfortable, good size, large bathrooms. Bed very comfortable.
Kitchen lacked basics eg- salad bowls,sharp knife and any form of storage container. Fry pan and pots very cheap and awful to use. No BBQ facilities was another problem.
We would certainly return even if I had to take my own knife and frypan!

We loved the resort ! The rooms were spacious and stunning and the view from our room was spectacular. We were so pleased with the little touches like the extra chair at the dining table for our 3rd son and the extra shampoos and towels. We had a very enjoyable stay and will be back.

The resort has a great pool facility that was absolutely loved by the kids and adults - clean, well maintained, shade, everything we needed. The apartment was not quite as impressive but still met all our needs and was very spacious. We would happily return.
