Bands on the Beach
19 September 2009

Palm Cove reverberates to the sound of music as the Band of the 1st Battalion Royal Australian Regiment helped in 2006 the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation raise money for equipment required in the maternity section of the Cairns Base Hospital and in 2007 the Returned Services League (RSL) raised money for much needed equipment. In 2008 the event raised funds for the Cairns Branch of Bravehearts and this year will be assisting the local SES with much needed funds to purchase an Emergency Deployment Vehicle.

Bands on the beach 2008, raising money for the children’s advocacy and counselling organisation Bravehearts. The date of the event is Saturday 19th July 2008.

Carols by Candlelight
24 December 2007

Each year the local Palm Cove Businesses proudly present the annual Carols by Candlelight. It is a fun night and all locals and visitors are welcome to join the singing procession.

Operation Rudolph
15 December 2007

Operation Rudolph is a joint operation being undertaken by Far North Region based Police, Fire, Ambulance, SES and the general community. The proceeds of this activity will be given to the Cairns Base Hospital for use in the Oncology Department.

Palm Cove Fiesta
13 – 15 October 2006

The Palm Cove beach regularly holds Events and festivals throughout the year. In October every year thousands of people converge on the beachfront for the Palm Cove Fiesta sponsored by Indigo, Ocean's Edge and the new Palm Cove Village. Tourism Palm Cove, who has been responsible for hosting the event since 2002, in 2006 created a two day and two night event of divine food and entertainment.

Australia Day
26 January 2006

On 26th January 2006 Palm Cove hosted the morning Activities for the official Australia Day celebrations. the day was sponsored by Tourism Palm Cove's members and included fun for families and beach-goers alike. There were fantastic prizes to be won and plenty of food for everyone.
